The Ripley Suite is located in the rear of the house. It was originally the master suite for the owner of the home, Charles Ripley. The Suite has a large bedroom with a Queen size sleigh bed and beautiful original 8 pane windows overlooking the rear grounds and West River. There is also a large sitting room with french doors, a large leather loveseat that reclines for comfort,, a comfortable desk looking out over the gardens and a warm and inviting gas log fireplace.

The Ripley Suite has a large private bath with original 1920s tile work and original nickel plated brass fixtures. The Suite is the most formal room in the inn and is decorated in a dark red with Toile accent fabrics and luxurious touches.

Check In / Out
Check in is from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 7:00pm to ensure that someone will be available to greet you. Check out is at 11:00am.

Minimum Stay
A two night minimum stay required on most summer weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) as well as on holidays, during special events and during foliage season. Please feel free to call to inquire about single night stays which are occasionally available on these peak weekends.

Cancellations and No Shows
Because of our small size, cancellations and no shows affect us significantly. For this reason cancellations must be made ten days prior to the date of arrival to avoid a charge for one night's stay. In the event we are able to rebook the room for the duration of your booking, there will be no charge. If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will be charged for the full amount of the stay.

Children
Our Bed and Breakfast is not appropriate for young children; many of our guests are looking for a quiet getaway. Well-behaved children over the age of twelve are welcome in our home, however we do not provide a special childrens menu at breakfast.

Pets
We are sorry to report that we can no longer accept pets at the inn.

Parking
Parking is limited to guests only as we have only one parking space per room. Please let us know in advance if you will need parking for more than one vehicle.

Other Important Policies

• We are a completely non-smoking home, smoking is allowed outdoors only.
• Breakfast for non-guests / extra guests is $15 and requires advanced notice..
• Rates are based on double occupancy (single occupancy for business rates). An extra person / bed is $25 per night and includes breakfast.
• Rates are all subject to 9% Vermont Meals and Rooms Tax and 1% Brattleboro Local Tax (not included).
• This is our home, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
• We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for loss of money or valuables of any kind.
• You are welcome to enjoy anything purchased from our pub anywhere on our property. However, Vermont state law prohibits outside alcohol from being consumed on our premises.
• A major credit card is required to secure your stay - you may pay with an alternate payment method at checkout. We accept cash, traveler's checks, and most major credit cards.
